How to Set Up IPTV Smarters Pro in 2026 (Smarters Pro and Player Lite)

How to set up IPTV Smarters Pro step by step

Menu names change a little between devices and updates, so look for the closest match. Our Live Chat team can guide you through it screen by screen.

1. Pick the right Smarters app for your device

   Find the official app for your screen:

   • Android phone or tablet: Smarters Pro - Mobile, in Google Play.
   • Android TV or Google TV: Smarters Pro, in Google Play on the TV.
   • iPhone, iPad or Apple TV: Smarters Pro or Smarters Player Lite, in the App Store.
   • Samsung Smart TV: SMARTERS PRO, in the Samsung app store.
   • Windows PC or Mac: the Smarters Pro beta, from the Downloads section of smarterspro.com.
   • Amazon Fire TV Stick: we suggest TiviMate instead. The Vega OS models (Fire TV Stick 4K Select and the 2026 Fire TV Stick HD) only take Amazon Appstore apps, so ask us which app fits.

2. Check the developer name before you install

   Every store now has copycat apps with "Smarters" in the name. The official ones are published by Tech Smarters (Google Play), Tech Smarters Private Limited (App Store and Samsung) and WHMCS SMARTERS (Smarters Player Lite on the App Store). If the developer name is different, skip it.

3. Install the app

   Select Install in Google Play or Get in the App Store. On a Samsung TV, press Home, open Apps, search for SMARTERS PRO and select Install. On a computer, run the file from smarterspro.com; our Windows and Mac guide covers the security prompts.

4. Open the app and start a new login

   On the first start, the app asks how you want to sign in. If it opens on a list of saved users instead, choose the option to add a new user or playlist.

5. Sign in with Xtream Codes (recommended)

   Choose the Xtream Codes login (called Login with Xtream Codes API or just Xtream Codes, depending on the version) and fill in:

   • Name: any name you like, such as IPTV Nord.
   • Username and Password: exactly as in your email, with the same capital letters.
   • Server URL: the full address from the email, starting with http:// and ending with the port number if there is one.

   Then add or save the user. On a phone, copy and paste each detail from your email to avoid typos.

6. Or use your M3U link

   Prefer the M3U link? Pick the playlist or M3U URL option, give it a name and paste the whole link. You get the same channels, though the guide can be less complete.

7. Wait for the first download

   The app downloads the channel list, TV guide and movie catalogue. The first time takes one to three minutes, so leave it open. You then see sections such as Live TV, Movies and Series.

8. Open Live TV and check the guide

   Choose Live TV, a category such as Canadian news or sports, then a channel. The current and next shows appear beside the picture. A blank guide usually fills in after a few minutes.

Which Smarters app is the real one in 2026?

The official apps in 2026 are Smarters Pro from Tech Smarters and Smarters Player Lite from WHMCS SMARTERS; the classic IPTV Smarters Pro has left Google Play and the App Store.

Still have the old IPTV Smarters Pro installed? It usually keeps working with your IPTV Nord login, but it gets no updates and may break after a system update. Then move to Smarters Pro or TiviMate: your login stays the same, because channels come from your subscription, not the app. Downloads for every device are listed on smarterspro.com.

Smarters Pro vs Smarters Player Lite: what is the difference?

Smarters Pro is the full app that runs on phones, TVs and computers, while Smarters Player Lite is a simpler player that the App Store lists for iPhone, iPad and Apple TV only.

• Both are free to download, have in-app purchases, and accept an Xtream Codes login or an M3U link.
• Smarters Pro offers a Premium upgrade after you sign in. The developer says it adds app features, never content, and the basic player works without it.
• Smarters Player Lite is the easy pick for a home that only uses Apple devices. The App Store listing to trust is the one from WHMCS SMARTERS.

On Google Play, apps called Smarters Player Lite come from other developers, so Android users should install Smarters Pro.

How to set a parental PIN and favourites in Smarters

Smarters Pro has a Parental Control option in its settings where you create a PIN and lock the categories you want hidden, and a favourites list for the channels you watch most.

• Parental PIN: in the app's settings, choose Parental Control, create a PIN, then lock the groups you want hidden.
• Favourites: open a channel's options (press and hold OK on a TV remote, or tap and hold on a phone) and add it to favourites. Your list appears as its own category.
