How to Install IPTV on an LG Smart TV (webOS)

Your LG TV already has everything it needs. Add one app from the LG store, link your playlist from your phone, and watch live TV in about 12 minutes.

LG Smart TV IPTV setup guide: install IPTV Nord step by step

To watch IPTV on an LG Smart TV, install the Smart IPTV app from the LG Content Store, open it once to see the TV's MAC address, then add your IPTV Nord M3U link to that MAC address at siptv.app on your phone. Restart the app and your channels load. The whole setup takes about 12 minutes.

Smart IPTV is free for a trial period, then costs 5.49 euros once per TV. You pay that small fee to the app maker, not to IPTV Nord. It covers the player only and is separate from your IPTV plan.

What you need before you start

  • An LG Smart TV with webOS, connected to the internet, and its remote (a Magic Remote or a standard one).
  • Your M3U link from the IPTV Nord welcome email. Only have a username and password? Ask us in Live Chat and we send the link.
  • A phone or computer with a web browser, for about three minutes.
  • About 25 Mbps of steady internet if you plan to watch 4K channels.

How to install IPTV on LG Smart TV

  1. Update the TV software

    Press the settings button, open All Settings and look for Software Update under Support (on older models it is under General, then About This TV). Install any update. Newer software shows more apps in the store.

  2. Open the LG app store

    Press Home on the remote. On recent TVs, select Apps. On older TVs, such as 2020 models, select LG Content Store from the bar at the bottom of the screen.

  3. Search for Smart IPTV

    Select the search icon in the upper right corner, type Smart IPTV and press Search. Pick the app named exactly Smart IPTV. The store also lists Smart IPTV Plus, Pro, Lite and Player apps from other developers; skip those.

  4. Install and launch the app

    Select Install on the detail screen. When it finishes, select Launch. The first start can take a few seconds.

  5. Write down the MAC address

    Smart IPTV shows your TV's MAC address on screen. Take a photo of it with your phone. You need every character exactly right, so compare the number 0 with the letter O carefully.

  6. Add your M3U link on siptv.app

    On your phone or computer, open siptv.app/mylist, the app maker's official upload page. Type the MAC address, paste your full IPTV Nord M3U link into the URL field and tick Detect EPG so the TV guide comes along. Leave Save online unticked for now, then send the form.

  7. Restart Smart IPTV on the TV

    Press Back until the app closes, then open it again from Apps. Your IPTV Nord channel groups now load. Use the arrows to move between groups and press OK to watch.

  8. Lock your playlist and activate

    In the app's settings, lock your MAC address so nobody else can overwrite your playlist (the default PIN is 0000). When the trial ends, activate inside the app or on the Smart IPTV activation page. Stuck on any step? Our Live Chat team can guide you screen by screen.

Which LG TVs can run an IPTV app?

Most LG Smart TVs sold since 2016 can. LG names its software by version up to 2021 (webOS 3.0 in 2016, webOS 5.0 in 2020, webOS 6.0 in 2021) and by year after that (webOS 22, webOS 23 and so on). The maker of Smart IPTV supports webOS 3.0 and newer.

How to get a smoother picture on an LG TV

  • Plug into the LAN port. A cable from the router beats Wi-Fi through walls and floors, especially for 4K on an OLED.
  • Turn off Quick Start+ while you troubleshoot. With it on, the power button only puts the TV to sleep and old app data stays in memory. It sits in the General section of All Settings; the exact sub-menu depends on your model year.
  • Unplug the TV for 60 seconds after changing your playlist. It forces a clean start.
  • Use Save online only for huge lists. The Smart IPTV maker suggests it only when the TV runs out of memory loading a playlist.

What is the best IPTV app for an LG Smart TV?

For most LG owners we suggest Smart IPTV. It has been in the LG store for years, its maker updated it in July 2026, and it costs 5.49 euros once per TV after the trial. Choose Set IPTV instead if you would rather enter a server, username and password than paste a link.

Is IPTV Smarters Pro available on LG TVs?

Yes. WHMCS Smarters lists it in the Canadian LG store as IPTVSmartersPro. It is free and takes your Xtream Codes login right on the TV. Its LG version was last updated in June 2024, though, so we treat it as a backup. The same developer added a new listing, Smarters Pro Original, in September 2026; see our IPTV Smarters guide.

Do I pay IPTV Nord for the LG app?

No. The app fee goes to the app maker and only pays for the player. Your channels, movies and series come from your IPTV Nord plan, billed in Canadian dollars by Interac e-Transfer. See every plan on the IPTV subscription page.

How do I change the playlist in Smart IPTV?

Open the app's settings on the TV and turn off the MAC lock with your PIN (0000 unless you changed it). Then upload the new link at siptv.app/mylist with the same MAC address, restart the app and turn the lock back on. You only need this if we send you a new link.

Can I watch IPTV on an older LG TV?

If your LG runs webOS 3.0 or newer, which covers most models from 2016 on, Smart IPTV should install. Older LG TVs may not get the current app. Plug in a Fire TV Stick 4K Plus or a Google TV Streamer instead: both cost less than a new TV and run TiviMate.
