The basics
How to set up IPTV in 3 steps
Every device follows the same three steps. Only the app store and the menu names change.
Install a player app
IPTV Nord is a service, not an app: you watch it in a player app like TiviMate or IPTV Smarters Pro. Install the app your device guide suggests from the app store, or with the Downloader app on a Fire TV Stick.
Enter your login
Open the app and choose Xtream Codes (some apps say "Xtream Codes API" or "Login with Xtream"). Type the username, password and server URL from your welcome email exactly as written, or paste your M3U link.
Open the TV guide
Channels and the TV guide load in a minute or two. Open the guide (EPG), pick a channel, and you are watching. Add favourites so the channels you watch most sit at the top.

Your welcome email contains the login type that suits your device. Here is what each one is and when to use it.

Which one should you use? If your app offers Xtream Codes, pick it. Use the M3U link only when an app does not support Xtream Codes. The MAG portal is only for MAG and Formuler set-top boxes, and our MAG and Formuler guide shows where to enter it.
Keep your login private. Anyone who has it can use one of your screens, and that can block you from watching.

Can I use IPTV on a Roku?
Not easily. Roku only lets you install apps from its own Channel Store, and the players we recommend, like TiviMate, are not available there. The store does list some third-party IPTV players from small developers that accept an M3U link or an Xtream Codes login. They come and go, many charge a fee, and their TV guides are often basic, so we do not write a Roku guide.
Internet speed
Which internet speed do I need for IPTV?
You need about 10 Mbps for each screen in Full HD and about 25 Mbps for each screen in 4K, plus a little room for phones. Enter your screens to check your home.

We count 5 Mbps per HD stream, 10 Mbps per Full HD stream and 25 Mbps per 4K stream, plus 5 Mbps of headroom for phones and other devices in the house.
Quick fixes when IPTV does not work
Most setup problems come down to a typo, Wi-Fi or an old app. Start here:
- Channels will not load: check the username, password and server URL letter by letter. Watch for extra spaces, and copy the server URL exactly, including http or https.
- Buffering or freezing: restart the device and the modem, then plug the TV in with an Ethernet cable if you can. Our guide on how to fix IPTV buffering lists 15 more fixes.
- The TV guide is empty: give it a few minutes after your first login, then use the app's option to refresh or update the EPG.
- Guide times are off by an hour: several provinces changed their time rules in 2026. Update your device and check its time zone setting.
- A "too many connections" message: another screen is using your login. Stop it, or add a device when you extend your plan.
- The login stopped working: your plan may have ended. Check the end date in the app's account screen and extend if needed.

How long does it take to set up IPTV?
About 10 minutes on most devices. Installing the app takes a few minutes, typing the login takes one or two, and the channel list and TV guide load in about a minute. A Fire TV Stick takes a little longer the first time because you install the Downloader app first. MAG boxes need us to activate your box's MAC address before the portal works.
What do I need to set up IPTV?
You need four things: a device like a Smart TV, Fire TV Stick, Android TV box, Apple TV, phone or computer; a home internet connection; a player app; and your IPTV Nord login, which we send by email and in Live Chat. You do not need a satellite dish, a cable box or any technical skills.
What is the best app for IPTV?
On a Fire TV Stick 4K, 4K Max or Android TV, TiviMate is the most popular choice for its clear TV guide. Smarters Pro is a simple free option for phones and many TVs, and on iPhone, iPad and Apple TV the same family of apps is called Smarters Player Lite. Can I install IPTV on more devices than my plan allows?
Yes. You can install the app and your login on as many devices as you like. Your plan limits how many screens play at the same time, from 1 to 5 depending on what you chose. If one screen too many starts playing, it shows a connection message until another one stops.
